Beginnings in Italy
This year, I entered my second decade of wedding photography nyc. I spent my early career time thoroughly investigating the world around me. It has been jam packed almost every second. I tell my students that in spite of short creation times associated with exposing a frame, photography requires two things: waiting and patience.
Early on, after a year in a villa in Tusacny, where I worked as a bilingual nanny to a delightful little boy, I photographed him and his little French and Italian playmates among olive and fig trees , and their musings in the street life in Florence; I developed the film in a makeshift darkroom, and made substantial strides in becoming the photographer I am today. Then, I relocated to New York permanently and worked and studied at SVA. There, I solidified my training by following the documentary-style traditions of the New York School of shooting spontaneously, and following the visual dreams of one’s heart.
