Cuts to the Budget
When my husband lost his job last year we had to find places in our budget to make cuts. One of the first cuts we made was on our auto insurance. We had been carrying full coverage on two vehicles. One of our vehicles is pretty old. We dropped that coverage down to only liability insurance. We saved a substantial amount of money each month by doing this. My husband is now back to full time employment. We talked and have decided to keep just liability on our older car. It costs almost as much to insure it, as the car is worth.
