Is Pet Travel on Airlines Really Safe?
My sister travels by air at least once a month. When she goes she always takes her small Yorkshire terrier with her. This concerns me because I have always felt leary about pet travel on airlines. Since animals must be in the cargo area of a plane, it worries me that they may be hurt or not get enough oxygen during the flight. The area pets must remain in seems really small and compact and could not possibly be a benefit to their health. Is this really a safe way to travel with your pets? To me it seems that traveling by car would be so much better.
